  Full disclosure Uncle Gerry's wife is the pastor here, but I truly feel this way.
  
  Valley United Presbyterian Church was formed when the three nearby Presbyterian churches (Athens, Sayre, PA and Waverly, NY) merged. They presently have two church locations (Athens and Waverly), however, they are planning on building out the Waverly chuch and making that their main location.
  
  They’ve called a young pastor (my wife) to lead them down that road, and she delivers interesting and relevant sermons each week. The church has lots of activities going on, and they’ve recently updated their website.
  
  If you’re looking for a no-presssure, open environment to explore or nurture a relationship with God, try them out. They’re a very welcoming church for people from all walks of life.
  
  UNCLE GERRY'S TIP: They offer a contemporary service Sunday nights at 5:00 pm with a praise band and is as always, come as you are.
